The Kingdom of Lesotho 

This study is about Lesotho Fourth Five-Year National Development Plan casing the period from 1986/87 to 1990/91. Contrasting the first three Five-Year Development Plans.It convey His Majesty's Government distinguish economic planning as a highly significant mechanism for the management of the National economy and the maximum exploitation of the country's inadequate potentialities. Planning here involves firstly, a factual appraisal of Lesotho's available resources, secondly, the setting up of a national development strategy; and thirdly, a selection of programmes and projects for implementation which appear, in terms of our priorities, most suitable for the progress and prosperity of the country. The accomplishment of these programmes and project will enhance the development of our national economy and will go a long way towards civilizing social Welfare of people.
